Welcome to Hospice Essentials

The Hospice Essentials Course provides a flexible orientation path for clinicians new to the hospice and palliative care specialty.  It can also be used as the primary method of providing new hospice and palliative care team members with the ‘essential’ knowledge needed for safe, competent clinical practice.

This comprehensive, interdisciplinary educational program and companion resource materials uses sound clinical judgement and evidence-based practice standards to provide fundamental content and establish a strong foundation for hospice and palliative care clinical practice.
