Shannon Adams is the Vice President of Finance and brings 18 years of healthcare finance experience to Teleios Collaborative Network.
Her healthcare experience began at a small rural hospital in Nebraska. While there, she reconstructed financial processes and performance resulting in improvements in Accounts Receivable collections, Accounts Payable processing, and cash positions. These accomplishments enabled this hospital to design and build their new replacement facility.
In 2005, Shannon transitioned to The Nebraska Masonic Home as their Controller. The Nebraska Masonic Home is a Continuing Care Retirement Community for Masons and their eligible female relatives. At this position, she was afforded the opportunity to learn more about that portion of the continuum of care. She implemented both a new payroll system and a new financial reporting system. These improvements provided a financial statement package that was more accurate, timely, and relevant.
After four years, Shannon relocated to Northern Iowa to work for the Avera Health system. As CFO of Avera Holy Family Hospital for ten years, she led the facility through various changes and improvements. Included in those were the facilitation of a new Radiology Suite, bringing MRI in house, and the construction of a new ER. Holy Family was named a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital by the National Rural Health Association for four of the five years between 2014 to 2018. She also put emphasis on educating Board members, leadership, and staff about the complexities and best practices of Critical Access Hospital finance.
Shannon is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Briar Cliff College. She is a mother and a grandmother and has relocated her family to Hendersonville, NC.
