Luke McGee is the Interim Accounting Manager with Teleios Collaborative Network (TCN). During his 13-year career in accounting he has worked in the Hospitality, Public Accounting, and Healthcare Industries.
His accounting career began at Wild Adventures theme park in Valdosta, Georgia. During his time at Wild Adventures he progressed quickly from an Accounting Assistant to Staff Accountant. It was also during this time that Luke developed a keen ability to maintain order under duress. During a period of financial hardship caused by multiple natural disasters, Luke was charged with negotiating preferable terms with the park’s critical trade vendors who carried pre-petition debt during Chapter 11 Reorganization proceedings until the eventual disposition of the filing.
Upon leaving Wild Adventures, Luke worked in Public Accounting for two local firms where the bulk of his time was spent auditing financial statements. His audit experience includes auditing entities in the Governmental, Not-for-Profit, Low Income Housing, Construction, Lumber, Customer Service, and Healthcare Industries. He also has experience auditing Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Retirement plans.
Luke’s first position in Healthcare was at Advanced InfusionCare, a specialty pharmacy, where he held the role of Controller. While there, he improved procedures to implement a five-business day close for his division. It was during his time here, where he witnessed the positive impact quality care could make in patients’ and their families’ lives. Seeing that is what fuels his passion for building and maintaining an effective financial management process to support Clinical operations through excellent financial stewardship and providing reliable and timely financial information to support effective strategic planning and decision making.
Luke holds a master’s degree in accounting from Valdosta State University. He currently resides in Valdosta, GA, his hometown, with his wife Heather, son Finn, and their Golden Retriever Sprout.
