Carolina Caring Celebrates the Life of Past President & CEO Dave Clarke

Carolina Caring is saddened by the passing of David B. Clarke, former CEO of Catawba Regional Hospice, now Carolina Caring. Clarke leaves a legacy of generosity and servant leadership that will continue to profoundly impact the organization and community for years to come. 

Clarke devoted a large part of his career to raising the profile of hospice and palliative care knowing that the benefits of these services are often underutilized by many who need them. By distinguishing himself as a forward-thinking executive, he successfully integrated hospice education into the local healthcare landscape while growing Catawba Regional Hospice exponentially during his tenure.  Read More

 


 

Teleios Collaborative Network and UNC Health Join Forces.

Teleios Collaborative Network (TCN) announced that UNC Health has joined TCN’s network of serious illness providers.  Through this collaboration, TCN will provide both management services and provider staffing for the community-based UNC Health palliative care program.    

TCN is excited to collaborate with UNC Health in an innovative partnership to provide home-based care to vulnerable people stressed with serious illness.  This partnership will combine the expertise of TCN in clinical palliative care and operational efficiency with the power of the UNC Health network,” said John Morris, TCN’s Chief Medical Officer of Palliative Care.  Read More

 


 

Burke Hospice & Palliative Care and Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care announced to employees, volunteers and donors on Thursday that the two organizations are exploring the possibility of becoming one organization.

Both boards of directors approved the decision.

Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care Board of Directors Chairperson Marc Carpenter said the two organizations already mirror each other in many ways and feels the unity between the two will benefit the communities and people served. Read More
